Beginnings
In the following we will look at some ideas to begin a song. How do we begin a song has a tremendous impact on how the song may be experienced. The first choice we must make in this regard is whether we need an intro, or we can start right on the song. The purpose of an intro is to have the opportunity to set a particular mood, and even though you might have a point in doing an intro in a completely different atmosphere than the actual song, it is often the case that the intro communicates precisely the mood the song expresses.
